Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on 24 April 1973 at Bombay ( now Mumbai). Tendulkar is a right handed batsman and he can also bowl right arm medium and leg break as well. Sachin is married to Sara Tendulkar and this couple has two children Arjun Tendulkar and Sara Tendulkar. Sachin made his test debut match against Pakistan on 15 November 1989. He made his ODI debut on 18 th December 1989, it was also against Pakistan. Sachin is the only player to have scored one hundred international centuries ,the first person to score a double century in a One day match.In 2002 , just halfway through his career , Wisden Cricketer's Almanack ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Don Bradman , and the second greatest ODI batsman of all time Viv Richards.Tendular was the part of Indian team that won the 2011 World cup. 

                                 Tendulkar received the Arjuna award in 1994 for his outstanding sporting achievement. In 2012 Tendulkar was nominated to the Rajya Sabha ,the upper house of parliament of India. In December 2012 Tendulkar  announced his retirement from ODIs. Tendulkar played 664  international cricket matches in total, scoring 34,357 runs. Tendulkar's father Ramesh Tendulkar was a well known novelist and his mother Rajini worked in the insurance industry. Tendulkar has three elder siblings , two half - brothers Nitin and Ajit and a half- sister Savita. As a young boy Tendulkar usually fights with new children in school. At present Sachin Tendulkar is a member in Rajyasabha and he is one of the owner of football team Kerala Blasters.
